We welcome the WA Government's feedback period for their proposed Community Benefits Guidelines, and recognise that this is a positive step towards creating clear expectations for developers and equipping communities and local governments to secure good outcomes. 

However, we are raising several concerns about the content, scope, and implementation of the proposed guidelines. In our submission, we're calling for:

• Higher value ranges to make sure communities are fairly rewarded
• Stronger requirements for community participation, legacy benefits, and regional coordination
• Accountability mechanisms to encourage and ensure good practice
