A Safe Climate Carbon Budget - Online Event

CCWA has worked with one of the world’s most respected climate and economics research institutes to develop the first ever carbon budget for Western Australia that complies with international agreements to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees under the Paris Agreement.

The Carbon Budget sets out pathways and trajectories for decarbonising each major sector of the WA economy, remaining within a Paris-compliant global carbon budget. It establishes short, medium and long term goals for carbon pollution reduction for the state that take into consideration the unique challenges and opportunities we face in Western Australia.

Prof. Bill Hare, Director of Berlin-based Climate Analytics will present the research and discuss the implications for climate policy and the future for Western Australia.
