Join us for an evening of community conversation at the State Library Theatre with inspiring guest speakers who are building a sustainable future for WA. Chantal Caruso, Director of Policy & Research at Clean State will launch our plan for hundreds of thousands of WA jobs across 12 sectors including energy, building, agriculture, transport, tourism, and the care economy. WA’s future depends on what we do together, so bring your family & friends and join the conversation for how to create a cleaner and fairer state.

More than ever before, we have an opportunity to invest in a sustainable future for WA.

The coronavirus pandemic is expected to put as many as 64,000 Western Australians out of work and an economic downturn is underway. That’s why Clean State has worked with industry experts from across WA to develop a plan for over 200,000 jobs that will also deliver action on climate change, conservation, and the care economy.

Western Australia is highly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, yet also in one of the best positions in the world to contribute to, and benefit from the economic opportunities associated with climate action.

This is our opportunity to stimulate and reboot WA’s economy, accelerate climate action, and help vulnerable households as we’re rebuilding a more robust & resilient state.  And the good news is that Western Australians already have the skills, expertise, and resources to make it happen.

This is a COVID-Safe event following the latest health advice with seating limited to 80 people. Tickets will not be available on the door so please RSVP to book your ticket in advance.

About Clean State

Clean State is an independent initiative advocating for action on climate change and jobs in Western Australia. We represent thousands of individuals and hundreds of businesses and other organisations who are dedicated to climate action across the state. We promote solutions that create thousands of jobs supporting businesses, families and communities and make our state a fairer, safer place to live and work.

We acknowledge that we meet, work, and live on the land of the Nyoongar people. We pay respect to their Elders, past and present, and acknowledge the important role all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people continue to play in advancing a more sustainable Western Australia.
